Hi everyone, sorry if this is an obvious question. I've been reading these boards and have learned a lot, but haven't found the answer to this question yet :).
Is there any way to tell what kind of stats a piece of armor will have and/or what it would con to a player without having to make one of every single type? I know the stats probably vary some depending on the quality, but it would be helpful to know that, say, the rawhide line, is appropriate for character levels 5-7.
The recipes doesn't seem to give me any information about what kind of AC it might have or what character level the item might be good for. The only way I can tell to do it is have the customer go to an NPC vendor and see what's on the list that might be appropriate for him or her, but it seems that much of what we craft is not sold on the NPCs.
Appreciate any insight anyone could provide :)!

Open recipe book, right-click on recipe and examine. This brings up the recipe description window. In the bottom of this window is the name of the "shaped" version of the item. Right-click on the picture of this item and examine. This will you show you the item as at "shaped" quality.

Also, I noticed that while I was crafting, if I had succesfully made an item in the past, it's stats would display for me if I hovered over it's icon on the crafting screen. Therefore, if I got to a tier and hovered over the item and it had the stats I wanted, I could just hit stop. So, I think once you create an item, you will be able to easily see the stats, while crafting. Can anyone verify this? I haven't tested it or anything, I just noticed it while I was creating a batch of the same item over and over again.
I'm gonna try to get screenshots of several items I've crafted and host them on my website. I'll post some links once I get that done.
Along these same lines, has anyone noticed that the "pristine" version of some armors is actually worse in stats than lesser quality combines? I took a look at the recipe book versions (shaped level of quality) of tanned leather and decided to turn out a suit. Tailored several pieces to pristine... and noticed that while the saves were better, the stats (power, health, etc.) disappeared entirely on the pristine versions. A few pieces of burlap armor is the same way.
So... bugged items, or am I missing something, like not having an adventurer level high enough for the stats to show?

I'm not sure that is a bug so much as a feature. (Yes, you heard me: a feature!) So far all my experiences have been that all the point totals stay the same but are simply divided among different attributes (1 str 2 agi or 2 str 1 agi or 1 str 1 agi 1 wis). By making the top grade item, you then can look at all the lesser items and decide WHAT you want to improve. Just because the top item has certain stats doesn't neccassarily mean that item is what you want.
Think of it as a single recipe making 4 different items. By stopping the combine where YOU want it, you control the outcome of which item is actually made! Thus, I call it a feature, not a bug.

And the top item is a balance between AC and what stats you want. The pristine item alwasy has the best AC... not always the "best" stats.

How accurate is Allakazam's site on some of the crafted items? I know they still have some beta information on a few quest rewards and were way off. Most of the tier 2 armor I have looked at shows the page updated Nov 15th, so I'm guessing it's what you can now make.
Take a quick look at this:
tailored cured tunic
+5 vs magic +9 power +8 vs disease +7 health
Required 40
Recommended 90
Armor Class 6 - 95 (max at level 18)
pristine tailored cured tunic
+5 vs magic +8 power +8 vs disease +12 health
Skill
Required 50
Recommended 100
Armor Class 6 - 110 (max at level 20)
tailored adds up to +29 in stats AC 95
pristine adds up to +33 in stats AC 110
