Anyone know a quick way to level.
I have a semi method. posted in the Jeweler Folder. but that's just more efficient not nessesarily faster.

Fastsest way to level is to make the toughest items you can that you have never made before.
Making an item for the first time gives huge xp bonuses, especially if it is pristine. You can get 8%+ per item, so after 10-15 items you level.

Finish items are also worth more experience inherently. So in making spells for both of us, my friend went from 12.2 to 13.7 in just a short bit. Think he got 10% just on the pristine ink the first time and then on a "shaped" spell I think he got 8-9% per. I think if he had gotten that to pristine (which is nearly impossible) he would have most likely netted 16%+. Remember, even if you've made the item before you can still get the bonus for bringing it to pristine for the first time. Kinda like a double bonus for the same item.

Also remember that while only the Primary component counts towards final item quality they all count towards xp. So higher quality components means faster leveling.

Hmm, this might be interesting to check out. Yes, item for item Pristine gives better exp. But, if using exp/time might it be better to crank out 3-4 crudes than 1 pristine for over all exp gain?
Some combines take up to ~90sec to acheive at pristine level, while crudes can be attained in 12-18sec. This could be worth looking into...

The bonus for pristine sub components is small. So as for time , it is not clear.
The bonus for pristine combine itself is large... so here you would have to do some real testing to figure it out.
it USED to be that if you could throw away that much money making 4 crude was worth more then 1 pristine. But it really is throwing away money. They have adjusted the exp since then (this was in beta) and it is not longer clear.
It is DEFINITELY not 4* as fast to make 4 crude as it is to make 1 pristine... but you are spending 4* as much money...

OK this test is really too small for accurate results and used a hand held stopwatch for timings. Level 16 Scholar, Chemistry at 79/79, using Aerated Water, harvested tuber strands, vendor bought candles.
Stroma Wash (L10) time to make 10 Pristines 00:15:16 including Power regens to safe levels. Exp gained ~2.6%.
15:16 worth of Crude Stroma Washes, 32 washes produced (1 was shaped as it shot past crude too fast). Exp gained ~2.5%
So, time wise the Pristines seem to be still better, by a small margin, but cash wise the Pristines win hands down.
caveat: Timings were rough, and while wasted time between combines was kept to a minimum variances probably did occur.

Found this out to work reasonably well,
If your a scholar and you want fast results go out to commonlands and get Fungi gatherings withered mushrooms etc. And make all of the ones you can up to pristine you can geta few easy levels doing this. Once you get to upper levels find somethign easy to do like Jewelry craft recipes are fairly simple and pristine of the items gets you **** good exp specially if its even level craft. Spells take to long and some alchemy can take way to long to after 15nth then again alchemy is easiest to do around 16 for descent exp.
doing trade guild skills I find is the best way to gain both skills and levels. Just make sure something interesting is on TV.

I did the same as Drakkal. At level 10 I gather the components to make all the basic poison and potion combines (i.e. Soapwood Compond, etc.) You get double exp the first time you make something so make them all once. You'll make a few levels just doing that. I also make 1 each of the all the Fighter Skill Essences, again for the double exp for first time. Thats an additional 30 to 60% for each level.
In generall, make those recipies that you haven't made before; that are even or close to even to your level; and recipies that don't involve a lot of subcombines.

To me, the most time consuming part of ts'ing is the running around. IMO, the best way to go, is to harvest your buns off until you have just 6 slots left in your overall inventory (bank and individual as well). And then start crafting for marathon sessions until you have run out of resources, slots or space. Sell off what you can't use down the line and/or crappy quality results, and then repeat.
Prioritize making more slotted containers (backpacks/boxes) so you have more space, after you have done all the quested containers. In this case, it is best to know what reagents and components you will need ahead of time. Check spoiler sites.

Almost forgot...knowing how the buffs actually work is how you level the fastest...heh. A pristine blue item or a couple sub-par attempts at even con items are 6 of 1, half dozen of another to me.
