How many slots are in the oak strongboxes (the tier III one) ?

I know it's 6 for elm, 12 for maple... what's the tier III number?

I am trying to decide if my craftsman alt should go provisioner or carpenter. Decisions Decisions!

Oak??? Tier 3 wood is Ash...and (pristine) Ash Strongboxes are 16 slots.
.....afaik Tier 3 rare fir produces a 20 slot Strongbox - however, fir can currently not be refined :D

My apologies, I have not yet gotten forestry to 90 to work in tier 3 :)

Thank you for the information. That is a bit odd though, 6, 12, 16? One would think 18, +6 slots per tier, but then, I'm no dev :)

basic bag is 4, elm box is 8, maple 12, ash 16. 4+4+4+4

These are the figures for the pristine versions of course...lesser quality = fewer slots ;)

but for some reason, the 5 slotted boxes sell for more than the 6 slotted bags on my server....go figure. im not complaining cause i am makin a killing on the crude elm boxes selling for 10sp. but for the life of me, i cannot understand why people are buying them for that much.

Dang! BB must be the rip-off server. We have pristine maples selling for 15sp. Then again, we have most of the best and brightest artisans on Kith.

Hehe, last I checked, our pristine maples were going for 25-30sp

pristines range from 25s (one crafter) to 55s

I will pay 30s and go to the house to save on the 20%.

The thing that might drive up the price for the strong boxes is scholars have such a hard time making the iron bars. For me to get a stack of iron studs i had to make the bars myself that ment getting the resins and iron cluster and busttign them out myself. It took me 3 day to fins a scholar willing to do the studs as well and that was spamming the craft channel.

I would make studs for a trade of oak boxes.

These slots are for pristine; you lose a slot for each level of quality lower than pristine the final product is.

Elm (tier 1)- 8
Alder (tier 1 rare)- 12 (Though why you's want to waste alder wood on this is beyond me, lol; make furniture out of alder, maple a lot more common and makes just as good a box)
Maple (tier 2)- 12
Bone (tier 2 rare)- 16 (theoretically; not only is bone bugged as not showing up where it should, in tier 2 wood nodes, there are no currently functional tier 2 rare craftsman recipes. The books drop, but have no recipes in them.)
Ash (tier 3)- 16
Fir (tier 3 rare)- 20 (thoeretically; as recipe for fir lumber curently bugged, can't be verified, but would fit the pattern.)

So each tier up adds 4 slots; using the rare gives you 4 slots more than the common of the same tier.

So in theory any wood from tier 5 should yield 24 slot bank boxes and tier 5 rare yield 28 slot bank boxes?

Meaning a single character using tier 5 normal bank boxes could have as much as (24 x 8) 192 bank slots in the non-shared area. That would be 32 bank slots more than the most EQ1 managed.
