In followup to my earlier post summarizing burlap armor requirements, here is a list of everything you need to make a full suit of Iron Chainmail Armour (tier 2). This should help you decide how much time and money it will take you.

First I list all the individual pieces you need to make, each of the ingredients, and the ingredients for them. At the bottom, I have a summary of total inputs required.

I've tried to use a consistent color scheme -- Blue for final products, orange for interims, red for refines, Sienna for other craftsman refines (We can do these ourself at Tier 2), Green for fuels and Navy for raw materials.

One "shouldn't" be making your own tempers and washes...

If you are going to use that grammatical construction, please get it right.

"One 'shouldn't' be making one's own tempers and washes."

As for whether or not one should be doing so, it isn't any of our business and you are welcome to remove your nose from it.

/em salutes the grammer police.

hehe

As for the tempers and washes, you *can* scribe the books, but its been said many times here that it is not intended, perhaps you missed that though. Go ahead and check Ngreths many form replies on the topic.

Stop the rudeness now. That was uncalled for.

So I've done these up for chainmail and burlap now, and the only comments I've received are on the morality of making your own washes.

Is there any interest in my finishing the one on Tanned Leather, and moving on to the Tailoring armours when I ding that tomorrow?

YES! I love seeing these broken down like this. The component summary at the end is very nice to see as it will allow me to stock up on only what I need when I start these sets. The scrollable window that you used in the burlap thread was nice also :D

Keep 'em coming!

Grunthex, Thank you sire! Your detailed list is very nice and copies quite well right into a Word doc :D

As for the grammer police thing, while I agree with what you're trying to do, I suggest you don't bother for the following reasons:

1 - We're not all perfect, and there's no need to point out mistakes made by others when we get the gist of what they're saying, no matter how the errors might irk us personally.

2 - Proper english was long ago abandoned on internet message boards. You coulds spend the rest of your life policeing with nothing but a bunch of people calling you an "english snob" as your thanks.

Though if you want to correct anything I say, feel free to do so as I always take feedback, though I suggest taking it to the private messaging system.

Now, as for the breakdown...

AWESOME! I love it. Now if you just provided a breakdown by archetype class, that'd be nice (so I'd know how much of what to give to my scholar and craftsmen friends). Not that I can't extract that easily, but it's just an idea.

Awesome post. All the details we need to make some armor.

As for making our own washes etc, I'm not touching that one :D

THANK YOU!

Breakdowns like this are a godsend.

This is an awesome breakdown! Very very helpful for some many different applications. It's easy to look at this and know what you need to collect in order to begin crafting. It's also easy to look at this and know what you should be charging, as you can piece it out and add up the prices.

I visited the EQTraders site regularly while playing EQ 1, and stuff like this is exactly the reason. Is there any way this guide will be added to the EQ2Traders website, so that it doesn't get lost in the board somewhere?

Also, if anyone's doing some of the other armor sets, I'd say this guide is the perfect template for an easy to follow format.

Any breakdown on the stats for the items? Was there a large difference in stats between Crude and Pristine?

Thank you for your time and effort to post this.
