Have you ever had someone (a guildmate, or a stranger) ask you for a full suit of armour, and wondered "How much work is this going to be - what is going to cost me?" so you can tell them what it will cost them? I've done up summaries for Burlap and Iron Chainmail so far, and should have a Tanned Leather summary tomorrow.

First I list all the individual pieces you need to make, each of the ingredients, and the ingredients for them. At the bottom, I have a summary of total inputs required.

I've tried to use a consistent color scheme -- Blue for final products, orange for interims, red for refines, Sienna for other craftsman refines (We can do these ourself at Tier 2), Green for fuels and Navy for raw materials.

Whoa! Be sure to check out the preview before submitting because some of those colors are TOUGH to read! Especially the blue and green. With the light background, try to choose darker colors in general for readability.

Looks very interesting! I hope when the DB's done, it'll be able to show similar things! In the mean time, keep up the good work!

I'm working on the formatting. I didn't take into account our custom background here -- I'm getting close. :)

Try using a list command. It should help a lot for your formatting:

[ list]
a prime
[ list]
a1
a2
[/ list]
b
[/ list]

(Heh. Excuse the formatting issues - even using code still inteprets it.)

gives:

a prime

a1
a2

b

I may have to try that in the future, Zendaken -- I cheated and dumped it in a code window for now.

It looks about right to me - let me know what you all think.

Definitely much more readable, but I personally don't like scrolling windows within scrolling windows. Does it change anything to do a bit more single spacing? It is a bit wide spread.

Of course, I'm not the one to really be looking at these - mebrhea is really the guy to talk to! He's the word smith, I'm just the consumer. :D

Alright, I took out all the spacing (which was redundant with all the indentation), and that's my final product.

I'm going to try your List method for the chainmail guide, but that won't be up until this afternoon -- I have to get SOME work done this morning!

Oh and if you have the power to remove all our formatting discussion, feel free. :)

Thank you for the post. I for one am thankful to have everything in one spot. This is most helpful.

Why do you list the storma resigns as completed items for the recipe followed by the "Assuming you make your own Stroma products" But not do the same for the paterns? Without exploiting we don't make the paper or paterns either.

Corrected Should be
18 Tuber Strands
2 Sullied Average Quality Pelt
7 Generic Burlap Paterns
7 Stroma Oil
19 Stroma Wash
2 Stroma Resin
42 Filament

If it's done this way we see that it matches for Canvas later on (where there is no exploit to make things yourself)

18 Beledona root
2 Sullied Medium Quality Pelt
7 Generic Canvas Paterns
7 Thylakoid Oil
19 Thylakoid Wash
2 Thylakoid Resin
42 Filament

though in this case to get the paterns most likely you'll need to provide the 7 threads @ cost of 7 Beledona root, 7 Thylakoid Oil and 7 Filament

Sorry if this is a stupid question, but at what level do you get the recipe for Generic Burlap Pattern and Cailun Paper. I am Level 11 Outfitter but I don't see these two recipes.

Thanks and sorry if this has been answered somewhere else.

You dont get that recipe. There is a bug ingame now which allows you to scribe other classes level 10 books but this will be removed in the near future.

From what I read, that bug has been addressed. It's Craftsmen who make the patterns and paper for tier 2.

In your total summary, shouldn't the severed maple be in navy rather than green?
