Anyone else having a problem getting their finished products to sell? I find no matter how low I price stuff, and how much I am undercutting others, my stuff just aint selling. I set up shop over night and advertise while i am at the keyboard. Even Pristine Tanned Backpacks aren't really moving, though they are great ways of getting resources from other crafters.
I've price Pristine weapons as low as 13sp and they don't sell. Problem is, there are better or equal non crafted items which people can get through simple quests. Hoping that now I have hit Weaponsmith this changes, but I have my doubts.

I have not problems selling (on Steamfont). I've sold about 10 backpacks and a weapon or two. When selling, I leave computer on during the night and check it the next morning before work. I've sold every backpack I've put up for sale by the next morning. I sell the pristine 6-slot for 6sp and the pristine 8-slot for 10sp, which is usually much cheaper than the competition. I've seen the 8-slot on sale for 30sp which is crazy. Don't expect to sell much if you are pricing them that high.
I find a good rule of thumb on the iron weapons, armor, etc. is to go to the armor mechant and find out what they sell a comparable item for. For example, chain bp ~ 15sp... so sell your chain bp for 13-14sp. That way, the player can either buy it from the merchant, or buy it from you and get a marginally better item for about the same cost or lower. A win-win situation for both the crafter and the player, as you make some cash and they get a better item for less.
The other option is to just calculate how much you actually spend to make the item, then add on a markup, but I like the above option.

You might, just might, be doing something I did, the first time I tried to sell.
Left my char up all night, didn't sell a thing. Why?
I forgot to hit the "Start Selling" button. :o

Here's some advice:
1) When you're out gathering, take some weapons/armor with you and /auction them, using item links. I'm hesitant to do this myself (I hate haggling like the plague, and every third person wants to do this) but even if you don't make a sale, you DO at least get people aware of potential upgrades to their equipment, and they'll likely end up checking the market later. I've made some alright sales in commonlands.
2) Just what I noticed - dual weapons are perhaps the easiest to sell. I'm going tailor, but I went through a few so far as an outfitter, and the reaction to pristine daggers, etc is very positive, very fast. Probably because they always need two, so even if there's a great quest item out there, they still need a second upgrade.
3) If you're actually in to weaponsmith, don't just focus on selling your finished products. Find out what other crafters need and sell/trade that way as well.
4) Get on the trader chat channel (right click on a chat window, it's selectable.)
Good luck!
I think alot are not aware how the brokers work. Give them time

I suspect that we are also seeing a glut of products as people experiment with the Crafting system. I suspect that in the upper levels, where tru interdependence kicks in, we will see fewer people glutting the market with items like Backpacks and such.
