Since there are a lot of things we still don't know about crafting, I thought we should have one place to put them.
Right-click your experience bar to show tradeskill exp.
When a recipe calls for raw components, it will by default take the stack with the least amount of items. To change this, break large stacks into smaller ones. This has been changed. The ui will remember the last item you selected, but it will still pick the item of least quantity at first.
Check out this thread (http://mboards.eqtraders.com/eq2/showthread.php?t=2725) for a list of dropped items that can be used in tradeskilling. However, most of the time it is better to sell these and harvest/buy a cheaper component.
/show_window Inventory.Market and /show_window Inventory.Bank
/stopeat and /stopdrink will prevent further autoconsuming food.
Responding to some events can give you a durability boost, even when the buff itself only gives progress. Some examples:
Knot events, responded to with the tier 1 'Knots' skill (Light Armoring)
Material Catch events, responded to with the tier 2 'Dexterous' skill (Light Armoring)
Steam events, responded to with the tier 1 'Awareness' skill (Culinary)
Kickback events, responded to with the tier 2 'Crafting' skill (Woodworking)
Feel free to add to this list, I'll try to keep it updated.

Skill Use.
Ok this is a little on the Rough side since I'm still working it out.
There seems to be 1 Skill in a set that has a 0 power cost. With this in mind here is how I do my skills normally.
Starting I hit all my skills to get going once (tier 1 and 2)
Each Tick check for events and respond (Use Tier 1 Skills)
At Tier 1 I then have my skills set so that the zero power is in the middle. I then rotate sides. So One tick I will do Left Middle, then the next tick I will do right middle.
Tier 2 I move the Zero power tier 1 skill to the right. Now each tick I hit Tier one 0 then rotate the tier 2s as I did with the tier ones. If I get the durability at about +25 over max I will hit all 3 tier ones (Assuming I have power) to try and push progress.
I know this is a bit crude and will very depending on skills but I think it is a good starting point to learn.

Like the tip about stopping eating and drinking.
I find that alchemy buffs eat your power bar like no other skill. It is important not to spam the alchemy buffs and to make enough progress to finish before you run out of power.
My tactic is to only use the buff that looks like a flask. Unless I get a request from the tradeskill interface for another buff I just stick with hitting the Tier 1 and Tier 2 flask icons.
To regen power after a combine my summoner has the advantage that he can use both essence splinter (HP to Power similar to the EQ1 Mod Rod) and essence shift to canabilise power from his pets HP. If you plan on making a alchemist alt then you might take those into consideration when choosing their class.

/show_window Inventory.Bank
/show_window Inventory.Market
first brings up your bank contents (you can't move anything, but you can examine and do quest interactions)
second brings up the broker window - again, you can't actually purchase anything
capitalization is important

I tried this in-game and it does bring up the windows, but you can't see what's in the bank and you can't search the market without being at the bank or at the broker respectively...is this a feature that is in the future or is it just another thing that's broken and needs to be fixed?

I've used the bank window command and it works fine for me (did you remember to type it EXACTLY how it appears, capital letters and all?). Was even able to scribe one of my books after I dinged.

Tried this today and it doesn't seem to work at all anymore. :(

I tried this some weeks ago and I got a bank box up but the slots were all filled with the cloud thingy that appears before the actual items.
Shame - it seemed to be there but not working.
I suppose I should have /bugged it........ :o

They purposely "broke" this "feature"
You really weren't supposed to be able to check your bank, but if you had looked at it at least once in that game-session, when you used that command the bank window would pop up, letting you see whatevers there -- you just couldnt move it or take any of it (It would tell you you're not in a bank transaction).
Apparantly, that was uninteded so they removed that.
As for the Market window... that still works with FetishUI: You'll be able to see how much coin you've sold, and see whats left for sale, you just can't search or move anything (Not in a broker transaction).
Also... this is a very old post ;)

Unsticking - this is extremely old, and mostly defunct.
