average quality (not sullied) for 8 slot bags

Need at little help making cured leather, its says i need average quality pelts, but all i have come across in Antonica is sullied average pelts.

Can anyone tell me where to get them, been looking for two days now with no luck.

Medium quality pelts are rarely acquired items much like black iron, silver, copper, etc. The rarity of these items is such that you are much better off figuring out what you are going to do with these items once you get them rather than planning what you will do with an item that you may never get.

sullied average quality pelts are used to make 8 slot bags. Make tanned leather, and then tanned leather plates and cords (I think it's cords...it's the level 9 tanned leather thingy... maybe strap?). Then have a level 10+ scholar make you an iron buckle and combine them all to make an 8 slot pack (if the combine is successful). This is a level 15 recipe.

Now I believe you can make cured leather backpacks which are also 8 slot, but these use lower level recipes from dropped books. The pelts needed for this (I believe these are the ones you are asking about) are rare harvests from tier 1 badger dens. The pack I listed above is made with tier 2 pelts.

**edit: The average quality (not sullied) are from tier 2 and I believe they can be used in 10 slot bags (from book recipes), but still very rare. Sullied average pelts make the normal 8 slot.

Yeah another question off the topic... Is the tanned leather strap use for anything? I was planning on making bags, and make a whole stack of these, then I noticed you are suppose to use leather cords ... :confused: thx for any help hehe

I dont have the Tanned leather version in my book, all i got it the cured packpack which is found in the lvl 15 advace volume, got almost all advanced volumes up to lvl 15, can some one tell which one the Tanned Leather Pack is located in :)
