Ok, I am presently a 11th level Mage, 9 wanting to be 10 level Aritsan... However, I get the you must complete your class quest message, but no information on how/where im supposed to get the quest, unlike the mage quest which gave me this information. So I am clueless atm .. Can anyone tell me where I can start my class quest to make 10th level Artisan?

Thanks

it's in your manual..(page 33)

However, being male (I suspect!), you won't want to read your manual..

The person you need to speak to is Alfred Ironforge, in Qeynos Harbour, in the Docks area building. He's at the back. You'll have a little chat with him, make a decision, and he'll certify you. You then need to go BACK to your tradeskill instance and make one more item then you'll ding.

This assumes of course that you are *good* in alignment. If evil...

*checks manual & other topics* It's Alethea Augustine in West Freeport. The other comments still apply.

*search* is your friend :)

(PS: sorry for the quip about being male, I know that most of my friends who are male really don't want to read their manuals, and it does seem to be a valid judgement. If you're an exception, forgive my generalisation)

It is true that men (in general) don't read manuals. Especially for new video games. You have a brand new game in front of you and a 100+ page manual. Which gets the most attention?

that's what patching time is for!

brand new video game.. takes time to install...

*female mindset* I'll use the time that it's taking to at least skim through the manual and see if there's anything important I might need

*male mindset*... taps fingers, stares at monitor, muttering "hurry up you darned (insert appropriate adjective) thing, I want to KILL things"..

:p

Please make sure to check the FAQ board (http://www.mboards.eqtraders.com/eq2/forumdisplay.php?f=4) as well for general Q&A.

I read slow and get sucked in by the Lore pages at the begining. By the time the patch is done I still have 80+ pages of the "important stuff" unread. But hey, I tried, hehe.

My husband didn't need to read the manual -- he let me read it for him. ;)

The game came out Tuesday, he bought it Friday. I'd told him I was going to wait until he played a couple of weeks before I even started, to make sure he was going to stick with it... I spent the weekend reading the manual repeatedly and caved in and bought it on Monday. By then, I was an expert in just about everything I wanted to know about, and knew exactly where to find the rest.

It is true we don't the manual, I don't do it for software or anything that needs to be assembled, such as curtain rods. It's funny the same sort of thing applies to getting lost and directions, doesn't it?

You see, we can always ask you :)

Bah, the manual is for the weak!

Just wander around the city asking everyone about quests. Make sure to avoid the quest that says, 'Hey, I am a Quenyos sypmapthizer!' Keep wandering about trying things until you either break it or figure it out. Only then should you pick up that book. Heck, I made it to almost 8th level artisan before I realized there were counters! And only because I troll message boards. My manual is still in pristine condition inside the box!

Though, I will admit I will go get the prima guide just for the maps and list of abilities my class gets. But as for game play, that is meant to be figured out in your spare time!

That is the "Quest". Maybe eventually, someday they will put in a real quest, like the adventurers get.

I got the prima book and its awsome teaches you EVERYTHING about eq2 but then again you have to rely on your own skills to cause it dosen't tell you were all the supplies are just how eq works like if a bunch of people are hunting the same thing in the same area there will be lesser of that product thats why you hunt something new everytime your in an area and you will get more of the product you want. just a little tip to let you know.
