View Full Version : Outfitter supplied components

Hello all,

Question was, "What items do Outfitters make that are needed by other professions?" The result is this thread, thus far, a work in progress.

To read the format is simple.

Red is an Outfitter recipe.
Blue is a non-Outfitter recipe.
Unspecified recipe that needs attention.

Item_required
by_these_recipes (profession name)

Ofcourse the other way around is a list of items needed by Outfitters from other professions.

Red is an Outfitter recipe.
Blue is a non-Outfitter recipe.
Underline denotes a recipe where the component is primary and therefor quality matters.

Item_required (profession name)
by_these_recipes

The next post contains the fruit of this discussion. Feel free to critique at will.

the iron sheets crafters need are for kite shields, they'll also need cords and burlap thread to make fletching and later carebonite sheets and canvas thread. i think we will make iron struts too for those kite shields not sure though.

I haven't seen any recipes for carbonite or canvas in Outfitter books, Essentials or Advanced. I don't see a recipe for Iron Strut either.

Updated.

Please try to use the full exact name of the recipes involved. Using the format also helps me quickly sort through what goes where also. The main thing though is that I need the full and exact name of the recipe to avoid too many assumptions.

I made the assumption that Scholars can make Adept III (with the appropriate advanced book and components) versions of every Rune that they make an Apprentice III. Tell me if I've been smoking too much crack...

Fairly large update today. One thing to note, is that although I am an Outfitter, I am only level 14, so I still information on the higher levels and rare book recipes.

For non-outfitters, thanks for stopping by to run over the list. This list is by no means complete, we could still use input from you. Even if its just one thing.

Some things to note however are that outfitters do not make chain links, shods. or studs.

I think thats about it for today. Happy Thanksgiving everyone.

One questions I have though. Do the inventor series have a burlap pattern requirement? I need confirmation as no one specificly stated them, although took it as implied. I went ahead an put them up for now, but if they are incorrect let me know.

I believe that you are correct in this assumption. I found Artisan Stratagem Scrolls Volume 9 the other day. The whole thing is adept3 skills (runes and essences only though). It would be logical to assume that the rare scholar scroll for tier two would be the same.

Yes, they can make them, but this is currently a bug. Anyone can scribe the level 10 Craft books at the moment (which Iron Bar is one of) and make those items. However, this will be changed in the future... just not sure how long it will take. At that point, everyone except Outfitters will lose the ability to make Iron Bars.

Nilty

actually all 3 level 10 books have a recipie for iron bars.

Liandra

the bug with the iron bars is that it uses runecraft buffs but has scribing events.

If you want to list what we are dependant upon and what others are dependant on us for then leave them off. if you wnat to list what we can sell to others then leave them on.

Do the inventor series have a burlap pattern requirement?
Yes they do.

I was wondering is a different way of catologing may be easier/faster/just different

-At Tier 1 we need Threadbare patterns for Threadbare armor
-At Tier 2 we need Burlap patterns for Burlap armor
-At Tier 3 we need Canvas patterns for Canvas armor
-At Tier 4 we need Broadcloth patterns for Broadcloth armor
-At Tier 5 we need Rough Lienin patterns for Rough Lienin armor

-At Tier 1 we need Tin Buckles for Rawwhide/Waxed Backpacks
-At Tier 2 we need Iron Buckles for Tanned/Cured Backpacks
-At Tier 3 we need Carbonite Buckles for Boiled leather/Cuirboilli Backpacks
-At Tier 4 we need Feyiron Buckles for ?/? Backpacks
-At Tier 5 we need Fulginate Buckles for ?/? Backpacks

-At Tier 1 we provide Threadbare padding for A armor
-At Tier 2 we provide Burlap padding for B armor
-At Tier 3 we provide Canvas padding for C armor
-At Tier 4 we provide Broadcloth padding for D armor
-At Tier 5 we provide Rough Lienin padding for E armor

The same goes on and on for every tier. Spikes, bars, Sheets, cloth, padding, cords, straps, harness, rings, plates....

Don't get me wrong I apprciate the work of gathering all this together, I just wonder if this might be valueable for crossreferncing

Since Outfitter is only tier 2, we needn't worry about the other tiers, just outfitter essentials and advanced.

Added notation for primary components, WHERE QUALITY MATTERS. For instance, we may supply a primary component for another classes recipe, but if it does not change the outcome of the final product then it has no bearing. Examples would be items such as furniture, where quality has no meaning for the final product. I don't know if this will be an issue, but it is a point of clarification, for when/if it is.

These recipes will be denoted in underline.

Vikken
12-05-2004, 04:06 PM
Updated a few recipes with the new notation. I made a few assumptions here, please correct me if they are wrong.

Removed Iron Bar from the Supply list. All tier 2 crafters can make these.

BTW, with furniture looking to count as status to decrease your rent, quality may actually matter, but it's speculation at this point.

Updated.

Removed some unspecified recipes that refused to be named by anyone, namely scholar recipes with iron sheets and tanned hilts. This is in fitting with my experience as well as I've yet to sell any sheets or hilts to scholars.

I think we may be near completion for this list. I for one have noticed a steady demand for the supply components, and haven't noticed any discrepancies on demand for some time now. If/when they remove burlap thread and iron bars from the other classes books, the list will need to add these items again, however, at this time, they *can* make these without scribing outfitter books, though they are buggy and potentialy deadly.
